Permanent Cosmetics

  • Permanent cosmetics are a form of tattoo designed to enhance a client’s natural features. Only specially formulated pigments that are safe for cosmetic application are used.

    What enhancements are available?

Permanent cosmetic procedures include permanent eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner, or lip color. Other permanent cosmetic procedures include scar camouflage, areola restoration, and hairline enhancement.

A complimentary consultation is recommended so that a client can discuss his or her appearance goals and color selection for pigmentation with our specialist who will suggest the appropriate process.

During this meeting, a registered nurse will discuss your personal appearance goals. We will describe our process for achieving the look you want and ask you to complete a brief medical history to establish that you have no contraindications to the permanent cosmetic procedure. Preventative antiviral therapy may be prescribed if you have a history of cold sores and are having a lip procedure done.

The skin will be cleaned, and a topical anesthetic will be applied approximately forty-five minutes before treatment. The actual procedure involves implanting pigment into the dermis, which is the second layer of skin. The pigment is delivered via a very fine needle. Discomfort is kept to a minimum by the use of topical anesthetics throughout the procedure. The feeling is often compared to eyebrow tweezing or electrolysis.
The length of treatment depends on the enhancements a client has selected, but including anesthetic time it will take at least an hour and a half.
There will often be a slight swelling, redness, or bruising of the skin. These conditions usually subside quickly. Clients may resume normal activities immediately following the procedure; however, it is best not to plan social activities for a couple of days to allow enough time for any swelling to disappear.

Complete healing requires four to eight weeks, depending on the enhancements performed. We recommend the continuous use of a high quality antibiotic ointment for several days followed by a product such as A&D Ointment® until healing is complete.

Pigmentation reaches its final color within six weeks.

Depth of pigment color selected, skin type, and proper care and maintenance determine the longevity of permanent cosmetics. Cosmetic surgery does not have an adverse effect on properly placed permanent cosmetics.

Typically clients require one to two follow-up visits after their initial treatment.
The pricing for permanent cosmetics depends on the services required. Our prices are competitive, and discounts are available to clients who purchase a series of treatments. These details will be discussed with you during your complimentary consultation.
